Everyday you need to practice self love. It doesn’t matter what it is, nor how small or large it is, as long as you are doing it for yourself on a daily basis. When it comes to your mindset, you must set your mind right everyday, and I think the best way to do that is to focus on yourself 1st. Once you are feeling good about yourself, then you can help others and everything just comes together.
Start your day with an intention of what you want to do that will make you feel better, whether it is setting and accomplishing a goal or simply getting up on time and getting your day off to the right start. It is the little things that add up into the bigger picture of things!

In an earlier post, I posted a diagram of the importance of water and its effects on the body (why water is so important). In addition to taking in the proper amount of water (at least 64 ounces per day), eating vegetables and fruits are also very important. Incorporating them into your diet are essential.
Many diseases develop in the body when it does not release wastes properly, particularly digestive diseases. Green vegetables and fruits are two of the key elements that help the digestive system eliminate potential harmful bacteria from the body. If you struggle with getting these into your diet, checkout >> Tips to increase your fruit and vegetable intake.

How much water have you had today or planning to have?
The weather is changing and getting colder. It is the time of year when the hair becomes most vulnerable to dryness and breakage. Sound familiar?
Well, here are a few steps to help you seal moisture and maintain your natural locks, twists, and curls.
- Order your layers. In otherwords, make sure you are applying your products in the proper order – water, oil, then a water-based moisturizer or humectant.
- Use the 15-minute water trick. In between washes, mist your hair daily with water or thoroughly wet your hair (your choice). Then, let it sit on your hair for about 15 minutes before applying any other products. This is the time it takes for hair to become fully saturated.
- Avoid using too much product. Use half a teaspoon or less for your entire head when using oil or a moisturizer.
- Shower without covering your hair.
