Struggling to eat healthier?

Everyone wants to eat right and maintain a healthier lifestyle, but a healthy diet is often a challenge. What is a healthy diet, and how do we manage to achieve it?

Typically, we are getting in a little bit at a time. Maybe, we get some fruit in for lunch one day, fruit juice for breakfast another day, and sprinkle a few nuts on a salad for dinner. In the between time, we are off and running to work or an evening commitment, so we decide to stop at Starbucks, McDonald’s or Wendy’s, etc. for a quick meal, coffee, etc. This is just plain bad.

New report shows Americans and Europeans eating fewer fruits and vegetables!

In the 90s, “5 a Day,” meant eating five servings of produce daily (two servings of fruits and three servings of vegetables, which was eventually acknowledged as the bare minimum. In 2005, the USDA released new guidelines recommending 7-13 cups of fruits and vegetables daily.

Where do you stand? If you are like me, you are probably getting 2, maybe 3, cups of fruits and vegetables daily.
